What this comparison covers
We compare US employer-of-record candidates using their public service and pricing information, with practical questions about state coverage, the employment package and support. Provider claims are attributed to provider sources. We have not presented marketing claims as independent performance tests or invented customer reviews.
Native Teams and Rippling remain outside the comparison table because the reviewed evidence does not establish their proposed US EOR arrangement. Confirmed advertising is still subject to state, role and contract checks.

The active MongoDB website scoring manifest designates release top20-febb0806823f4459 for comparison websites in all regions. These are global provider assessments, not US-specific performance tests. The release uses final Top 20 workbook values where available and adjusted Top 20 working values otherwise. We preserve all six stored category scores and the supplied total, including workbook adjustments and overrides. We do not recompute an average or invent category weights. The manifest was updated on 29 September 2026; that is the release date, not a new assessment date for every provider. Historical regional scores are superseded and are not used.
The publication process requires country, provider identifier, scoring version, scope, category scores, overall score and source date. The current release specifies global website scores for every region and supersedes historical regional records. All displayed scores are labelled global. Stored scores are preserved rather than recalculated or rounded into different values.
How the table is ordered
The default US cost-led order uses the stored total first, then cost transparency and FX, then provider name. This follows the current UK reference’s ordering approach while preserving the exact stored values. Alternate sorts rank by total, cost, support, or cost transparency and FX. Category ties use total and then name. Missing values sort last and are never treated as zero.
Teamed, Remote and Deel each have a stored total of 4.7. Their cost transparency and FX scores are 5, 4.7 and 3.7 respectively, so the published tie-break puts Teamed first. Row numbers refer to the eligible candidates shown here, not all providers in the database. Every provider profile remains accessible when JavaScript is unavailable.
Why the shortlist is separate
The three editorial picks illustrate different buying priorities: Teamed’s advertised specialist service, Remote’s stated US entity model and Remofirst’s lower global starting fee. These are reasons to investigate, not awards or proof of superior delivery.
Teamed receives no manual score or table-position adjustment. The verified release and the same sort rules apply to every provider. Editorial placement remains visibly separate from score ranking.
Evidence and freshness
Public source checks are dated 30 September 2026. Provider prices are displayed in their advertised USD denomination without currency conversion. Starting prices, billing commitments and unconfirmed US prices are labelled. A provider’s written quote should resolve availability, scope and extra charges.
